Cycling/ Revolver/ Cycling model To combat attacks by uncivilized dogs, cyclists protected their calves from bites by firing this noisy but harmless tool. A velo-dog. 16 x 5 cm. Nice flower on the lock. Circa 1895. Some used ordinary weapons to kill or wound their ferocious attackers.
