This pharmacist and chemist from Narbonne (1780-1842) is a benefactor of humanity, for from 1820 to his death in 1842 at the age of 61, he was an outstanding popularizer in all fields, from hygiene to nutrition, including swimming and its "aquatic" surroundings, including glass bottles. His Encyclopédies published by Roret were a providence for progress. In swimming, his work is original, wide-ranging and varied. A rarity.
