Fist ball/ Belgian pelota - Lot 132
Fist ball/ Belgian pelota Bronze challenge, bas-relief: "Challenge Gaston Destrebecq, 1962, Frasne-lez-Buissenal" by the great Norman sculptor Robert Delandre (1879-1961). The two pelota players with small gloves, typical of Belgium and Northern France, are soberly highlighted. Gaston Destrebecq (1918-1946) was a member of the French Resistance who died as a result of deportation. With base 30 x 29.5 cm.
