Olympic Games/ Summer 1904/ St Louis Official award medal Obverse: The two deities of commerce and trade drape themselves in the ribbon presenting their sponsor, the organizer of : "Universal Exposition St Louis", United States of America, MCMIV. Reverse: the large eagle, wings spread, with the words: "Silver medal, Louisiana Purchase, Exposition". Insofar as the Games were financed by the organization of the Universal Exposition, as in Paris in 1900, this medal is indeed Olympic, in a way. Size: 6.5 x 6.5 cm
