a) "Olympic Torch Relays, 1936-1994" by Walter Borgers (200p, Editions Agon), all about torches (relays, signers, weights, measures, etc.)
b) "Die Laüfer Des Friedons von Olympia nach Berlin" les coureurs de la paix, superb cover, by Victor Kuron. Preface by Carl Diem. In 4 languages, highly illustrated, approx. 60 p. The epic story of the first great relay in 1936 from Olympia to Berlin, with a large dedication by H.J.F. Schimpff (from the Olympic Village) to A.C. Gilbert (whom he rubbed shoulders with), gold medalist in the pole vault in 1908, with his own story told in "Spotlight, March 1955".
c) "Ewiges Olympia" by Dr. Carl Diem (1948, 300p, 23 x 15.5 cm), a fundamental book in German by the inventor of the torch, the relay, and one of the pillars of Olympism.
