Olympic Games/ Winter, 1956/ Cortina/ Sailer Toni Sailer (1935-2009) Nice set on and around (pennant) of the first triple Olympic champion in Alpine skiing, Austrian Toni Sailer. Around : a) the official silk crest of the Austrian team, "VIIè Olympische Winterspiele, aigle noir, Austria (bleu), Cortina 1956 (10 x 7.5 cm) b) A black-and-white press photo of T. Sailer (smiling, skis on shoulder), with dedication (18 x 13 cm) : c) Another fine photo, where the film actor he was to become is already pointing, glasses on forehead, scanning the slopes (Sygma retrospective, 29 x 21 cm). With the famous Editions Rencontre fact sheet and a reproduction of the official poster (IOC, 1984). All crowned by the large triangular official pennant, with baguette, gold thread. In silk, with the words and official visual (rings, mountain) in the central escutcheon: "VII Giochi Olimpici, Invernal, Cortina, 1956"; H: 47, sides 42 x 42 x 33 cm. Italian flag on reverse.
