Olympic Games/ summer, 1960/ Rome Very curious trophy or totem in glazed terracotta, apparently dedicated to the Olympic divinity (woman's head on the front, Olympic rings on the back). This impressive four-sided monument (64 x 21 x 14 cm), signed on the inside by Conta R. Ganro (illegible?), 1960, is a tour of the Olympic disciplines.) Side 1, fencing, basketball. Side 2, right, rugby, side 3 (back) shot put, side 4, left, tennis, javelin. This perfectly decorative and probably unique work of art is brimming with mystery. A few small chips.
