The text in Occitan means "We'll keep our spirits up". This phrase became a political slogan for Occitan regionalists in the 1970s. Ben Vautier supported these movements with an artistic approach he himself described as ethnist: a people must have its own language, fight to keep it, and create works in that same language to keep it alive.
