Nasa. A superb view of the planet Jupiter from the famous American Mount Wilson Observatory, which wrote the first great pages in the history of world astrophysics. Indeed, historically, many of the astronomical discoveries of the first half of the 20th century were made at the Mount Wilson Observatory, including the expansion of the Universe. The Mount Wilson Solar Observatory was founded in 1904 by George Ellery Hale. Here a superb image of the planet Jupiter and its "red spot". Circa 1940-50.
