"Our Dear and Amée Bonaventure de COURBON, Widow of the late Sieur Pierre de ROTIGOTI, in his lifetime Chevalier de notre ordre, has remonstrated with us, That the late Roy our father, had donated to the late de ROTIGOTI and herself, in favor of Marriage the sum of Twelve thousand livres tournois and until full payment of the same, had given and relinquished to them the enjoyment of our land of VAUCOULEUR (Vaucouleurs Meuse), Forests and revenues and appurtenances, which Gift has not come into effect by means of the revision of the same, made to our Domain, by means of which, we have ordered that it be paid out of the deniers of our Savings... it pleased us to create an annuity for him..."
