Commission sur l'arrêt d'association de la Faculté de Médecine de PONT-À-MOUSSON au (nouveau) Collège Royal des Médecins de NANCY (créé le 15 Mai 1752). Given at LUNÉVILLE (Meurthe-et-Moselle) on Sept May 1753. Parchment (28.5 x 45.5 cm) with large wax seal (faded). Enclosed an extract from the registers of the Conseil d'Etat and a handwritten early 18th century copy of 7 pages recalling the various edicts and ordinances concerning the University of PONT-À-MOUSSON - STANISLAS 1ER LESZCZYNSKI (Lviv/ Ukraine 1677 - Lunéville 1766) King of Poland, then Sovereign in 1737 of the Duchies of bar and Lorraine. From 1725, he was brother-in-law to King Louis XV. Stanislas ruled Lorraine for 28 years. A philosopher, he set up an Academy in NANCY and founded colleges and hospitals there and in LUNÉVILLE. He promoted the arts.
