AISNE. Handwritten Précis concerning a lawsuit between the Duchesse d'OLONNE and the Marquis de CAULAINCOURT, and the Ruling of May 21, 1772. Manuscript of 5 in-4° pages, bound with blue silk thread. Fact: "the Marquis de CAULAINCOURT had had a certain number of trees planted on an old road he claims belongs to His Seigniory (the Château de CAULAINCOURT is located in the Aisne); the Duchess d'OLONNE had them uprooted, under the pretext that the land is part of her property. The Marquis de CAULAINCOURT has lodged a complaint... It seems that the territories of CAULAINCOURT and VILLEVÊQUE (Hameau de Villevêque, HATILLY in the Aisne) border on each other, and that on their borders there is an old road, which the Marquis de CAULAINCOURT claims leads to Versi in St Quentin...".
