Letter from Maréchal-de-Camp Baron COUTURE, Commander for the KING of the Ariège Department, to the Mayors: "I am going to take charge of ruling definitively, as Inspector-General, on the fate of all Messrs. Officers, non-commissioned Officers and Soldiers in the Department, whatever their rank... All soldiers, whatever their rank, must present themselves to me; namely: Those of the arrondissement of PAMIERS from the 22nd of this month to the 26th inclusive; Those of the arrondissement of SAINT GIRONS from the 2nd of February to the 7th inclusive; And those of the arrondissement of FOIX from the 27th of this month to the 1st of February inclusive...".
