GUYANA. CAYENNE October 28, 1818. Commercial letter to Mr DORNIAC, on his land. 3 pages in-4°: "Your cotton has already been loaded, I enclose the bills of lading... I have had letters from my brother, the last of which is dated Rouen, where he has chartered a vessel and loaded various goods on board. My brother tells me that the Government intends to send Chinese here to populate the Colony. I don't have much idea of his plans, these men can be very hard-working and industrious, but I don't think he's mixing with Europeans. Their customs and habits are so different.
