"MARBLES FROM THE PYRENEES." Letter signed LACRAMPE, Place du Foirail, BAGNÈRES-DE-BIGORRE (Hautes-Pyrénées) January 2, 1862, addressed to his Parents in AUCH (Gers), 2 pages in-4°. He uses Pyrenean marble to make fireplaces, altars, holy water fonts, funeral monuments, collections of Pyrenean marble, items made by lathe and by hand. He has high expenses, as "I had bought a garden next to my house, in which I have just finished a building to place a mechanical carousel to cut the slabs (of marble), which will be driven by a horse or a donkey, ... I have been made to hope that its work will pay me more than the interest...". He wants to have crates containing a fireplace taken to Maubourguet. "Do you know of any Roulier who will go directly to Marciac..."
