FOREIGN LEGION 1902-1914. MADAGASCAR. Papers of a Commander of the Foreign Legion, who took part in the Madagascar expedition, then in the Trouée de TAZA (Morocco). Some flaws: Letter addressed to him from the Cercle Militaire de FORT-DAUPHIN, December 7, 1902, Corps d'Occupation de Madagascar, from a former officer friend. He gives him news of "his former kingdom." "My dear MET... in 6 months, I hope disarmament will be complete. We are at present at 8500 rifles since September 1901; the census will also be finished; the principle of taxation admitted by everyone; the task I have given myself will be done, and I shall draw my bow with some satisfaction." Handwritten card from the Cercle de Fort-Dauphin 1900-1902 (defects). And a collection of Cachet marks from the Postes militaires de Madagascar, cut from a sheet, His Journal de marche 1919-1923, maps and plans of Morocco: "Trouée de TAZA." "Environs de Nekhila (Nkheila), Janvier 1914", 1 Photo.
