Ossip ZADKINE, Cubist painter and sculptor (1890-1967). Autograph letter signed in Paris, March 14, 1948, 1 page in-4°: "Dear Madame. My wife Valentine PRAX and I would be delighted to come and have a cup of tea at your home on Sunday March 18...Ossip ZADKINE." (Zadkine had married the painter Valentine PRAX in 1920, and it was she who initiated the creation of the Musée ZADKINE by bequeathing 300 of Zadkine's works to the city of Paris).
