Les fleurs du mal, by Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867), illustrated by Jacques ZWOBADA (1900-1967). Typography by Léon Pichon, 1945 Large folio (49.5x37.5cm) with brown cloth hard cover containing twenty-five poems from Baudelaire's Fleurs du mal, each illustrated with a black lithograph by Zwobada. Edition of 37 copies, including 1 reserved for the artist, 3 hors-series on Arches paper. Our rare copy is part of the special edition bearing N° : B, which also includes an ORIGINAL charcoal DRAWING by Zwobada and 21 lithographs before the print run, some signed, some double-sided. DEDICATION on the proof page: Printed for Monsieur Francis Chirol and containing a suite of lithographs and an original drawing for "Je n'ai pas oublié voisine de la ville" ZWOBADA. Stains on some leaves, slipcase in good condition.
