Nasa. Apollo 17 mission. This fantastic view of the Earth was taken by the crew of the Apollo 17 mission during their voyage to the Moon. Nicknamed "BLUE MARBLE", this photograph reveals the Earth from the southern Mediterranean Sea to the South Pole ice cap. It is considered one of the finest photographs of the Earth taken in the 20th century. APOLLO 17 is the last human mission to the Moon to date. It is therefore the last complete photograph of the Earth taken by man from such a distance. December 1972. Vintage chromogenic print on "THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BU KODAK" paper.
