The space shuttle has just released the SPARTAN-201 sattellite, a free-ranging satellite designed to study the solar wind and part of the solar corona. The SPARTAN project was developed in the late 1970s to enhance the scientific capabilities of experiments carried out aboard the Space Shuttle. April 1993.
