NASA. LARGE FORMAT. HUBBLE TELESCOPE. Here's a unique Hubble - Lot 263
NASA. LARGE FORMAT. HUBBLE TELESCOPE. Here's a unique Hubble Space Telescope view of a disk galaxy, tilted almost sideways to our line of sight. Hubble's precise vision reveals a sharp line of dust that divides the galaxy into two halves. The image highlights the galaxy's structure: a subtle reddish bulge surrounding a bright core, a blue disk of stars parallel to the dust lane and a transparent outer halo. Light dust trails can be seen snaking away from the galaxy's disk towards the bulge and the galaxy's inner halo. The outer halo is dotted with numerous gravitational clusters of up to a million stars each, known as globular clusters. Galaxies millions or billions of light-years away are also visible through the halo. 2006.
Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front. 40.6 X 40.6CM with margins.
