Nasa. LARGE FORMAT. Exceptional photograph of the planet Sat - Lot 303
Nasa. LARGE FORMAT. Exceptional photograph of the planet Satrune taken by the CASSINI spacecraft on July 19, 2013. The spacecraft slipped into Saturn's shadow to produce this unique viewing geometry. Thanks to the Sun's powerful rays eclipsed by Saturn itself, CASSINI's cameras acquired a panoramic mosaic of Saturn's system that allows scientists to see details in the rings and throughout the system when backlit by the Sun. With both Cassini's wide-angle and narrow-angle cameras aimed at Saturn, Cassini was able to capture 323 images in just over four hours. This final mosaic uses 141 of these wide-angle images. Images taken using the wide-angle camera's red, green and blue spectral filters were combined and mosaicked together to create this natural color view. This image covers approximately 651,591 kilometers (404,880 miles). Vintage chromogenic print. Label on back. 91 x 50.8cm with margins.
