NASA. MARS PLANET. This captivating image reveals the surfac - Lot 331
NASA. MARS PLANET. This captivating image reveals the surface of Mars with impressive clarity. It shows a Martian landscape dotted with a variety of geological formations, such as sand dunes, craters and depressions. Sunlight illuminates the terrain, creating a play of light and shadow that accentuates relief and texture. The dominant hues are shades of red and orange, typical of the Martian surface, mixed with lighter and darker tones that add depth to the scene. This view allows us to appreciate the fascinating details of Martian geology and offers a striking glimpse of the Red Planet's environment. NASA's Perseverance Mars rover used its dual-camera Mastcam-Z imager to capture this image of "Santa Cruz", a hill about 2.5 kilometers from the rover, on the 68th Martian day, or sol, of the mission. The scene takes place inside Mars' Jezero crater; the crater rim is visible on the skyline beyond the hill. The hill is about 50 metres high. One of the main objectives of Perseverance's Mars mission is astrobiology, in particular the search for signs of ancient microbial life. Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front. Legend on back label. 25.4 x 20.4CM with margins.
