NASA. LARGE FORMAT. This image shows the planet Jupiter captured by the NIRCam camera on the James Webb Space Telescope. The image reveals breathtaking details of Jupiter's atmosphere, including its distinctive cloud bands and the Great Red Spot, a massive storm that has been underway for centuries. Thanks to infrared observations, Webb was able to explore features not visible in ordinary light, such as deep cloud structures and heat emitted by the planet.
