NASA. LARGE FORMAT. This image compares views of a spiral galaxy captured by the James Webb and Hubble space telescopes. This galaxy, some 33 million light-years away, is rich in star formation. Webb's infrared view reveals subtle details of the galaxy's central regions and spiral arms, highlighting the clouds of gas and dust where stars form. By comparison, Hubble's view in the visible spectrum shows individual stars and spiral arms with less detail in the regions hidden by dust.
Vintage chromogenic print. References in the margin on the front. Legend on label on back. 50.8 x 50.8 cm with margins.
