ARMENIAN PSALTER, XVI OR XVI CENTURY Bolorgir script in 16 lines, with black, red and blue inks. The beginnings of some psalms are adorned with illuminated zoomorphic initials and marginal decorations. This lacunar psalter begins with lines from Psalm 68:23 and ends with Psalm 117:25. Inserted between the series of canons are prayers and blessings taken from the Old Testament, in particular the Prophets, written in smaller script. On folio 48v there is a later colophon in notragir: "...ես մեղայպարտ Մելքոն գրեցի..." (I, the sinner Melkon wrote this). On folio 4r there is another later colophon in illegible notragir. 61 folios in bound paper; pages missing, cover missing. 10 x 8.5 cm.
