HMAYIL FROM CHRISTOSADOUR, 1710 Exceptional prophylactic scroll (hmayil, հմայիլ) handwritten and illuminated on vellum. The colophon indicates that the manuscript was executed by the scribe Christosadour in Caffa (Feodossia) in 1710. Notragir script, dimensions: 591 x 7.9 cm. The first miniatures of the scroll are slightly altered. The Maténadaran holds a Gospel by the same Christosadour, dated Caffa 1711 (inv. no. 4660).
