They were followed by the Maison du Roy, which arrived with the rest of the troops on the 13th. Mr. Maréchal de NOAILLES... went to Mr. Maréchal de COIGNY's Army Headquarters to confer with him, and see the Army's position... A particular Corps under the orders of Mr. Duc d'HARCOURT was camped under Phalsbourg (Moselle), in a Camp where it could have supported the efforts of the entire enemy army... The arrangements made by Messieurs les Maréchaux to cross the Rhine show that the King's objective is not limited to driving the enemy out of his country, and that his intention is to pursue the Austrian army beyond the Rhine."
