HAUT-RHIN. KEMPF D'ANGRETH, Noble family from Upper Alsace, - Lot 117
HAUT-RHIN. KEMPF D'ANGRETH, Noble family from Upper Alsace, descended from a bourgeois family from Colmar. Letter written by a COLMAR Genealogist on December 13, 1749, addressed to Madame KEMPF D'ANGRETH, at her Château de LUNGERSTEIN, by ROUFFACH (68), concerning a search for proof of parentage. "Madame, It seems to me that your filiation is all going to fall into controversy, instead of finishing it, I have nothing to do but answer and fight the objections that are raised. I agree that there are pros and cons. ... to relieve you of your worries about the RUTZ family. I begin by saying that your baptismal extract, which is authentic, gives you as father and mother, Jean Gottfrois Florian KEMPF D'ANGRETH and Dame Marie Anne de RUTZ, Baronne de WASENBOURG..." he challenges the 1710 family tree, and asks for patience, "we will emerge from this work peaceful." 3 pages in-4°
