BOURGES (Cher) September 15, 1814. Military leave signed by the Council of the 11th Regiment of VOLTIGEURS, Ex Jeune Garde (Impériale) and General Count Jean-François LEVAL, as Inspector General. Reform leave for a Soldier of the Empire, Sieur Jean François MARLINOT, Adjudant in the 1st Battalion, native of HANNONVILLE (Meurthe et Moselle; sic Erreur Moselle), Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in 1813. He fought in the campaigns from 1805 to 1814 in Austria, Prussia, Poland, Spain, in the Grande Armée, wounded by two gunshots in 1807 and 1809. Engraved patent (26 x 42 cm), filled in ink. Royal vignette.
