HISTORY" (c. 1860). 10 engraved plates (on view 33 x 49 cm): Sainte Geneviève Enfant promising Saint Germain d'Auxerre to devote herself to God + Saint Louis processionally carrying the Holy Crown of Thorns to Notre Dame (August 18, 1239) + Solemn entry of Isabeau of Bavaria into Paris in 1389 + Jeanne d'Arc wounded under the walls of Paris (September 8, 1429) + Tournament celebrated on June 29, 1559, rue St Antoine. Henri II mortally wounded by Montgomery + Grand carrousel under Louis XIV, (June 5 and 6, 1662) + Taking of the Bastille (July 14, 1789) + Distribution of the Eagles at the Champs de Mars on December 5, 1804 (Empire) + Te Deum sung at Notre Dame for the taking of Algiers (July 11, 1830) + Mgr AFFRE, Archbishop of Paris, mortally wounded on the Faubourg St Antoine barricades. (June 25, 1848.)
