Pendant depicting a stylized human head in profile. Olive green serpentine with traces of cinnabar. Height: 6.5 cm Width: 4.9 cm Olmec culture, ca. 400-100 B.C. J.C. Mexico, Guerrero state. Oval pendant depicting a face in profile. He is probably wearing a cap that descends vertically behind the ear: one of the earrings is vicible. Note the eye, incised so that it can be seen from the front. All the lines are finely engraved and traces of cinnabar can be seen inside. The small pendant is held in place by two suspension holes.
