Important mask representing a stylized human face. The eyes are wide open and inlaid. Five elements of a necklace are attached.

Our example is one of the great works typical of Mochica art.
This type of mask is embossed on a wooden core. It was generally placed on top of funerary burdens. Its look conveys the timeless nobility of a Moche ruler.
An archaeological gold nariguera is included.
Length: 7.5 cm
Patinated copper.
