[Paul VERLAINE] - Léon VANIER (1847-1896, publisher of Paul Verlaine) / Fragment autograph by Vanier of the account book Vanier kept with Verlaine, in which he recorded day by day the sums he paid him for the publication or sale of his collections (1 p in-8, with 2 cut corners): here the details of payments corresponding to Bonheur, Verlaine's 9th collection of poems (NB: the publication took place at the end of April 1891, but the text was given to the printer Capiomont at the end of January, the original edition includes 55 copies on Hollande, the only large paper, these luxury copies were sold for 10 francs and copies on standard paper cost 3.50 francs, Verlaine received a total of 500 fr for this collection) - the statement consists of small sums, between February 8, 1891 and April 4, note a touching note from Vanier: lent Verlaine 5 fr for Banville's funeral (NB: his friend the poet Théodore de Banville, whose funeral service took place on Saturday March 16, 1891 and whose burial was in the Montmartre cemetery) / Attached: Paul ADAM (1862-1920, writer), autograph postcard of correspondence signed in 1898 to Léon Vanier.
