The Chamber... has made inhibitions & defenses to all individuals, heads of Houses of this City of AIX, to leave & abandon the city for any cause & pretext whatsoever, without permission of the aforementioned Chamber, under penalty of 3000 Livres fine from now on declared applicable to the poor for whom will be proceeded, as soon as they leave, to the sale & delivery of their goods, furniture... The clerks of the Maison Commune of the said AIX are forbidden to issue any Bulettes or certificates to the said heads of household, under penalty of corporal punishment...".
