SARTHE. Siege of BRUSSELS, 1746. Letter from King LOUIS XV, to Monseigneur l'Évêque du MANS. Written at Camp de Bouchout (Boechout Belgium) on June 1st 1746. Followed by "Mandement de Monseigneur Charles Louis de FROULLAY, Évêque du MANS, donnée au château d'Yvrée (YVRÉ-L'ÉVÊQUE, Sarthe) le 27 Juin 1746. The King requests a TE Deum in the Cathedral Church of LE MANS, for the success of the King's arms, at the Siege of BRUSSELS and the Capitulation of ANTWERP, after a 6-day Siege. (Brussels was then the capital of the Austrian Netherlands). From the Imprimerie de Jacques Ysambart, Imprimeur de Mgr l'Évêque du MANS, rue Saint Vincent. Cupboard (48 x 38 cm). Collection stamp on verso. Some minor defects.
