Recommendation in favor of Chevalier de Nogérée, whom he received under his command when he commanded the Marine Guards at ROCHEFORT (Charente-Maritime). "His conduct, Monseigneur, was exemplary. His dedication to learning and the sagacity of his mind enabled him to make progress which earned him the praise of the Censor Royal, and enabled him to advance with distinction, since when I have lost sight of him. He settled in Saint Domingue where he has a property that I am assured is considerable..." 1 page (30 x 38.5 cm).
