Jean Charles, Comte d'HECTOR, Lieutenant General of the Naval Armies of His Most Christian Majesty (The King in Exile), Commander of the Military Order of Saint-Louis, formerly Commander of the Navy in the Port of BREST. Signed on a military certificate made at Lynshurst, Hampshire (England), October 15, 1797. "Certify that Monsieur de TROGOFF, served in this Corps, and this department as a Volunteer and as a Marine Guard, from the year 1764 until 1774, that in this latter capacity he made the Campaign of 1767, on "LA SENSIBLE" at the orders of Monsieur le Comte DU CHAFFAULT (Louis Charles Du CHAFFAULT de BESNÉ), and that he conducted himself in such a way as to merit the esteem of his Comrades, and the approval of his Chiefs..." 1 folio page.
