Natural son of one of the Princes de Conti, he was also the Literary Correspondent of the Empress Dowager of RUSSIA and the Grand Duke CONSTANTIN - Autograph letter signed as Member of the Institut De France. VAUXBUIN (02) near SOISSONS, July 9, 1814, addressed to M. MILLIN Archéologue de l'Institut de France. 1 page in-4° - He asks him to welcome Chevalier De RAULIN, a highly distinguished military officer, to his meetings to talk about RUSSIA: "...Chevalier de RAULIN...speaks wonderfully of RUSSIA, where he has spent a very long time; his way of judging is clear, precise and impartial, and cannot fail to please a man with as good a mind as yours...".
