CENT-JOURS. RHÔNE. Proclamation by Count FOURIER, Prefect of the Rhône department, made in LYON on May 6, 1815, concerning the VOTES of the Citizens on the ADDITIONAL ACT to the Constitutions of the Empire: "... All French citizens have an obvious interest in exercising, wisely and thoughtfully, the political rights which the Emperor (Napoleon 1st) has recognized and enshrined in the Decrees. Europe has its eyes on our country, and nothing is more likely to preserve its independence and its glory than the testimony of our union, and the manifest support of our feelings and wishes...".
