"The Commissioner of the Navy... has released Jacques LECLERCQ, convict, serving in this port under N°11365, profession of Carpenter Cabinetmaker, native of Cambrai near Béthune (Pas-de-Calais), who, at the age of 21, was sentenced to 5 years in irons by the Pas-de-Calais Assize Court, sitting in ST OMER, for stealing various items of men's and women's clothing by climbing into an inhabited house.
