Cultures of South America - CHANCAY Globular vase with handle featuring a stylized human figure on the neck. Ceramic with beige slip and dark brown paint. Diameter: 11.3 cm Height: 13.5 cm Chancay culture, ca. 1100-1400 A.D. Peru. Traces of deposit and missing neck, otherwise well preserved. Provenance : Galerie Marie Laforêt, Geneva Private collection, Geneva (acquired from Galerie Marie Laforêt in 1981, with invoice in the archives). Private collection, Vaduz (acquired in 2006) Lot temporarily imported (from outside the EU), 5.5% VAT will be added to the hammer price for sale in France.
