RELIURE ROMANTIQUE - ALMANACH - Les soeurs de la charité ou beautés de l'histoire des dames, sœurs et filles de la charité. Janet, s. d. (circa 1830). In-12 full contemporary blue glazed calf, spine ribbed and decorated with gilt and cold patterns, large plate ''à la cathédrale'' pushed in cold on the boards framed by a gilt fillet, roulette on the spines and inside, gilt edges. Vignette by Geoffroy on the title and 4 attractive unsigned engravings outside the text. An interesting work describing the history of this congregation founded by Saint Vincent de Paul, and the state of affairs at the time. Copy in a superb romantic binding "à la cathédrale". (uneven foxing).
