POSEN TREATY (Poznan) of December 11, 1806, entry of the Five Ducal Houses of Saxony into the Confederation of the Rhine - THIARD (Auxonne-Théodore-Marie, Comte de BISSY) 1772-1852 - Ambassador, Chamberlain to the Emperor, he negotiated alliance treaties with Baden, Württemberg and Bavaria, while remaining in the service of Napoleon, whom he accompanied in the Wars of 1805, 1806 and 1807. He continued to prefer a career in arms to diplomacy, even though he was sent to Saxony to ratify the Treaty of POSEN. "GREAT ARMY".
