The fear of arousing your legitimate regrets contained the expression of my strong desire to come into possession of the treasure I hold from your illustrious father, whose memory will always remain dear to his friends. You guessed it, and graciously anticipated my request with an authorization I can now take advantage of. Just as I was about to accompany the very experienced, very careful men to whom I beg you to allow entry to the Atelier and removal of my Portrait, business detains me at home.
