Religious manuscripts from the Maghreb Black ink and polychrome pigments on paper, embossed and gilded red leather binding Maghreb, 18th - 19th century 11 x 10 x 4.7 cm This collection of prayers and eulogies is written in Maghribi script in black ink and polychrome on 7 lines within blue and red framing fillets, with chapter titles in polychrome ornamented cartouches. The handsome red leather binding is decorated with stamped and gilded mandorla, fleur-de-lys and interlacing friezes.
