Cycling. Emile Georget. Bordeaux-Paris. Chatellerault. Frenc - Lot 180
Cycling. Emile Georget. Bordeaux-Paris. Chatellerault. French Champion. La Française. Gonzague-Privat. Continental. In 1910, the champion of Chatellerault, the youngest of the Georget siblings, was almost at the top of his game: in his French champion's jersey, on a tricoloured bicycle, he flew over the 20th edition of the oldest race. After a long breakaway, he beat Trousselier and his brother Léon Georget by more than 11 minutes. Note that the author of this masterpiece is none other than the poster artist and giant of the road and trade unionist Pierre Gonzague-Privat. With his palette, we are really in the heart of the race, behind the trainers, in the brush of the headlights of the following car. An epic image celebrating the feat of one of the greatest riders in history. Lithograph. 1,56x2,23m. Superb condition.
