SALINS DE PECCAIS (GARD) or SALINS DE PECAIX. 4 Handwritten memoirs from the 17th century, addressed to the owners of the SALINS DE PECAUX (1462 (17th century copy), 1622, August 21, 1659). The marsh of PECCAIS is a pond located near Aigues-Mortes (Gard), exploited as a salt marsh since Antiquity: "Memorandum on the dispute between Mr. the abbot of PSALMODY, owner of one of the salt pans of PECAIS, in the territory of ST LAURENT D'AIGOUZE (30) and Messrs. The Owners of the other salt pans in the Terroir of AIGUESMORTES (30), about the right of Blanque. Manuscript of 13 pages in-folio + "Memorandum for Messrs. the Owners of the Salins of PECAIX on the subject of the Opposition they have formed to two ordinances that Mr. de BEZONS Intendant of this Provence, made, by which he condemns them to contribute to the third of the sums necessary, for the repairs of the Canal of SYLVÉRÉAL (Sic SAUVERÉAL), BOURGIDOU and LA RADELLE, by form of advance, except to be refunded, of the first fund that the King will make to build a new Canal, or to repair that which is already made..."
