Jean TINGUELY (1925-1991) - Lot 138
Jean TINGUELY (1925-1991)
Indefinite constant, 1964.
Sculpture in black-lacquered steel, electric motor and feathers.
Signed and numbered 17/100 on a label on the back.
Edition MAT, Collection 6.
45 x 21 cm.
A clamp on the shaft of a 110- and 220-volt motor effortlessly changes various elements that the viewer can manipulate as desired. Thanks to the rapid rotation of the chosen element around its axis, the viewer becomes the creator of a dematerialized volume. For our example, Daniel chose three colored feathers.
In working order.
