Weightlifting/ Mich/ Hippodrome. Original lithographed poster: "Hippodrome Bostock, Championnat du monde de force organized by "Les Sports", December 16 and following days." By Mich (alias Michel Liebeaux :1881-1923). Entoilée. With its strong-willed athlete, arms outstretched with two 50 kg weights, this creation on a green background is not lacking in allure. Restorations to the bottom, and a little to the top, do not detract from its authenticity. Canvas, 60x79. Circa 1907. This cinema, located on Place de Clichy, was to become the Gaumont-Palace.
